Clearing Your Web Browser Cache
Clearing your cache can significantly improve the speed and performance of your Web browser. The following instructions provide steps to clear the cache for a variety of browsers:
Internet Explorer 8.0
  • Windows

    1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
    2. Click the Delete... button in the Browsing history section.
    3. Make sure the Temporary Internet files checkbox is checked.
    4. Click the Delete button and then click OK.

Internet Explorer 7.0
  • Windows

    1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
    2. Click the Delete... button in the Browsing history section.
    3. Click Delete Files... in the Temporary Internet Files section.
    4. Click Close and then click OK.

Firefox 3.0 and later
  • Windows

    1. Select Options... from the Tools menu.
    2. Click Advanced in the top pane.
    3. Click Clear Now in the Cache section.
    4. Click the Network tab.
    5. Click OK.

  • Mac

    1. Select Preferences... from the Firefox menu.
    2. Click Advanced in the top pane.
    3. Click the Network tab.
    4. Click the Clear Now button in the Cache section.

Google Chrome 3.0 and later
  • Windows

    1. Select Options from the Tools menu.
    2. Select Clear browsing data... from Under the Hood tab.
    3. Make sure the Empty the cache checkbox is checked.
    4. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Safari 4.0 and later
  1. Select Reset Safari... from the Safari menu.
  2. Make sure only the Empty the cache checkbox is checked.
  3. Click the Reset button.
